April 19 marked the 130th anniversary of the Jesuit institution that would (after a few name changes and a short trek east) be called John Carroll University. This year, for the first time, we celebrated this date with a new tradition- Founders' Day. We held nine events around the country for alumni and friends and celebrated the day on campus as well. You can view photos from our different events or see how the day unfolded on social media.
Mark April 19, 2017 on your calendar as we continue to celebrate Founders’ Day.
Honoring a Great Man
The Office of Alumni Relations is happy to announce that we have renamed the Alumni Volunteer Service Award the Rev. William M. Bichl, S.J. Alumni Volunteer Service Award. Fr. Bichl was a great man who meant so much to the John Carroll community, and we miss him. This is just one small way for us to honor his legacy and love of JCU.
We will celebrate all of our award winners on May 20, 2016 at the Alumni Awards Dinner. Learn more about the Alumni Awards on our web site.
